Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra
Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra was established in 1765; thus it is one of the oldest orchestral institutions in the world. Since 1996, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra has, along with the Oslo Philharmonic, attained the status of National Symphony Orchestra.

Edvard Grieg had close ties to the orchestra and was Artistic Director from 1880 - 1882.
