The trip is approximately 15 km and you should count on it taking 4 - 5 hours. 35 cairns regularly spaced over the plateau mark the route, however in foggy conditions it can be extremely disorientating so check the weather forecast before you set out.
Most of the path is over rocky terrain, but there are a couple of sections where it can be quite wet and muddy, so waterproof shoes are sensible.
As the name suggests, this trip is over a plateau and it is therefore quite a relaxing hike offering great views. It should however be noted that there are a couple of sections which are quite steep, and this coupled with the length of the route, means that you ought to be active and relatively fit to undertake this trip.
