Bergen Student Radio (Studentradioen i Bergen) broadcasts 119 hours of commerical free radio every week.

Bergen Student Radio was founded in 1982, and is the oldest local radio in Bergen. Every week Bergen Student Radio broadcasts live shows from 7am to 2pm, and both live shows, replays and podcasts in the evening from 9pm.

Bergen Student Radio strives to be an alternative to commercial and state-run radio channels, and the radio station is run by around 160 volunteer students. You can listen to Bergen Student Radio at FM 96,4, FM 106,1 and FM 107,8 or online at srib.no.

Most of the programs are in Norwegian, but some semesters the student radio also have english-speaking programs, or Norwegian-speeking programs with some content in english made by international students.

 

WHO CAN JOIN?

Most of the members are Norwegian-speaking, but they also welcome international students to fill out an application form to join in
the beginning of each semester (srib.no/soknad).
