Job Description & Requirements

The Chengdu-Chongqing International Theatre Festival is seeking a Chinese–English interpreter to accompany our Artistic Director and other representatives during arts exchange events organised by Bergen Internasjonale Teater.

Date & Location

13–14 November 2026

Bergen, Norway

Approximately 8 hours per day

Responsibilities

Provide on-site Chinese–English interpreting during arts exchange activities, networking events and informal discussions with international theatre professionals.

Facilitate communication between our delegation and other participants.

Requirements

Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Available to work on-site in Bergen on both days.

Experience or an interest in theatre and the performing arts would be an advantage.

Must be legally eligible to undertake paid work in Norway.

Compensation

This is a paid, short-term assignment. The rate will be agreed upon based on experience and the scope of work.
